This piece is decorated with a cross-hatch basket holding a large bouquet of flowers. Lots of ground cover and dots enhanced the design. Most of the right lug handle is missing and might have been knocked off when the pot was made. Some old glaze flaking on the very back. There is a short hairline at the rim to the right of the name.

This piece has a wonderful folk art quality painting that was added done in 1976 by the artist David M Welch. The painting commemorates an April 19, 1775 battle with the British in Concord, Mass. See website for additional photographs. Signed by the artist. A unique bicentennial collectable on a period jug. Painting is in excellent condition. There is a minor hairline in the handle of the jug.
