been worn smooth.

One of a kind design of a brushed and sponge decorated tree. This unusual

N & A Seymour Rome approximate 1 pint ovoid jar with original stoneware lid.
This piece was finished in an overall brown Albany glaze. The gold gilting on
the ears was added later, but adds a nice look. Name is stamped on the rim
while the
town is below at the shoulder. Strong impressions of the potter's fingerprints
have been left at the base when the piece was dipped in the glaze. Rare
small size.
Surface chip in the lid and at the rim of the piece on the back.

Chollar & Darby Homer stoneware inkwell accented in a mottled brown Albany
glaze.
Inkwells are rarely found signed and this is a great example from an equally
rare upstate NY potter. Potter's fingerprint on the bottom when glaze was
applied.
There are a couple of minor glaze flakes, otherwise excellent.
