This small piece is profusely decorated with incised accent bands and flower designs all across the front. There is some very minor staining and an interior rim surface chip that has been worn smooth.

Richly decorated with blue dabs and accents at the top, handle and spouts. The blue date, "1869" is across the front with the initials, "WC" at the shoulder on the side.
Probably early Shenandoah Valley origin.
Very minor surface roughness at the smaller spout, otherwise excellent.

We believe this to be from an undocumented North Carolina Potter.
There are 3 old age cracks extending down from the rim, the longest on the back side. Rare.

One of a kind design of a brushed and sponge decorated tree. This unusual sponge technique created ground cover all around the base of the pitcher. Probably Midwest origin.
Very minor surface chipping at the rim.

Early hand thrown. Impressed at the shoulder, "Troy", which is placed just below a scribe line that runs all around the shoulder. This piece comes with a carved
wooden stopper that could be original. Probably Seymour Factory and rare, to say the least.
Mottled clay color and a couple of stone pings in the making. Excellent condition.

Circa 1890 local souvenir of the Battle of Gettysburg. Attributed to Henry Speece who operated a pottery near Gettysburg and made miniature from battlefield clay.
The spout has been broken off and reattached. Rare to say the least.

This piece was finished in an overall brown Albany glaze. The gold gilting on the ears was added later, but adds a nice look. Name is stamped on the rim while the town is below at the shoulder. Strong impressions of the potter's fingerprints have been left at the base when the piece was dipped in the glaze. Rare small size. Surface chip in the lid and at the rim of the piece on the back.

Additional blue accent at the handle. Scribe lines at the shoulder and neck further accent this neat small piece. Probably New York City origin.
Stack mark and minor overglazing at the shoulder on the back occurred in the making.

Impressed at the shoulder, "WM & EDWIN CLARK/DRUGGIST NO 215 PEARL ST/NEW YORK". The piece is finished in a deep chocolate alkaline glaze.
There is a short hairline up from the base and two minor chips at the extended rim, all on the back side.

Impressed and blue accented on the body, "R. I. LASHER". Probably a special order. Wonderfully designed using beaded tooled accent lines at the top, rim, and base.
Further enhanced with relief bands below and above the name. Probably Hudson Valley origin.
Some minor surface chipping and a tight old age line up from the base on the left side.

Inkwells are rarely found signed and this is a great example from an equally rare upstate NY potter. Potter's fingerprint on the bottom when glaze was applied.
There are a couple of minor glaze flakes, otherwise excellent.

There are 4 scribe lines around the body and a blue wash at the rim accent this wonderful signed piece. Nice tan clay color occurred in the making.
Minor age spiders to the right and left of the lightly impressed maker's mark. The spider line on the right occurred from a stone ping in firing.

The pitcher has a very tight age line across the very bottom and professional restoration to chips at the rim and spout. One mug has a few flecks in the glaze.

Bristol glaze approximate 3 gallon cooler. Great example of the desirable Polo Player Relief design by Whites Utica. "LONDON WHISKEY CLUB" logo is in relief and blue accented on the front. The distributor, "JOHN P. SHEEHAN & CO UTICA NY SOLE ACTS" logo in relief and blue accent is on the back. There is a chip in the bowl shaped opening at the top.
